About Trackside Selections Picks

Trackside Selections is an independent horse racing site for fans who want to understand the game better. It's run by a longtime Southern California horseplayer who follows Santa Anita and Del Mar closely. We publish evergreen handicapping guides, plain-English explanations of bet types and odds, and race previews ahead of major race days.

What you'll find here

• Handicapping guides on past performances, speed figures, class, pace, surface and track condition.
• Betting basics covering bet types, odds and bankroll management.
• Race previews and picks for major race days, with a public results record.

How we handicap and keep score

Each preview lays out the pace scenario, class, recent form and surface fit before naming selections, so you can see the reasoning rather than just a number. Every pick we publish is graded after the race and logged in our results ledger, winners and losers alike.

What we are not

We are not a sportsbook or wagering operator and we never accept bets. Our picks are opinions for entertainment; we never promise results or sell "locks". We believe the best horseplayers are informed, patient and disciplined about their budgets. You must be 21+ to wager.

How the site is funded

Post Time Picks is free. It may be supported by advertising and by affiliate links to licensed wagering operators, which may pay us a commission when someone signs up. Those relationships never decide which horses we pick. See our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.
